We understand the anxiety you may have regarding the Coronavirus outbreak and your goal to keep your children and family members healthy. We are doing everything possible toward that goal. As per CDC guidelines to limit interactions and practice social distancing, we have implemented the following changes in our practice to keep your family safe.
If we believe your child has an issue that can be evaluated and treated without compromising quality and safety, we will offer a telehealth appointment that does not require your physical presence at the office. However, some conditions may require a fac- to-face visit. If so, we may be able to examine the child in your vehicle and treat them accordingly. Certain types of visits, like well-child visits that include immunizations, are usually done within the office. If you have any special needs, please let our receptionist know, and we will try to accommodate any reasonable requests.
When you come to the office, we request you call the main office number to let us know you have arrived but remain in your vehicle. You may also text the number posted on our front door to let us know you have arrived. When your child is ready to be seen, we will call you, and your child will be taken directly to the exam room without having to wait in common areas.
We have removed all chairs from common areas to facilitate the social distancing guidelines. We have instituted strict policies to clean and disinfect all exam tables, chairs, doorknobs after each visit. Hand sanitizers are available throughout the office for your convenience. All employees and providers will be wearing masks. Please do not get offended by this as it helps protect all our employees and patients as well.
We request that only one parent accompanies the child. Please do not bring other children to the appointment. If the parent has any respiratory illness, we ask that another family member accompany the child. If this is not an option and the appointment is for a routine visit, please reschedule for a later date.
If your child is coming for a sick visit and has fever, cough, and other respiratory symptoms, please make sure they wear a mask before entering the office. We have a limited number of masks available if your child is sick and you do not have one available.
Let us all do our part to limit the increase in cases in the community that can overwhelm our medical system. Stay safe and stay healthy!
Thank you for your cooperation
